Gomi's Tap Flute Grinder Model GB-3 (patent pending) is designed exclusively for the grinding of tap flutes. Developed on the basis of three decades of extensive experience in this field, this machine eliminates at a stroke all the drawbacks of conventional manual grinders, sharply increases regrinding efficiency, streamlines production, and reduces costs.
Thanks to the ultra fine angular contact bearings supporting the wheel spindle, vibration is reduced to a minimum and a long service life and excellent precision are ensured. Both the V-shaped and flat guideways are machined to a fine finish and are supported by precision bearings. This ensures smooth slide motion and allows the delicate operation of grinding tap flutes to be performed with smoothness and accuracy. The shape of the grinding wheel is kept uniform by the dresser located in the wheel cover. The head stock is provided with and indexing system divided into 12 equal parts for grinding taps of 3, 4 or 6 flutes. rake angles can be adjusted precisely to obtain the required tool angle. The grinding operation is always uniform, since the work piece is always set in the same position by means of the centering gauge on the tail stock.
